Our Registered Reviewers!

As we have stated you do not have to register to contribute to the site. 
We invite everyone to join in, write a review, and give their opinion.

However, some of you may find you enjoy writing reviews.  It can be very satisfying.  You may find that you would like to contribute more, and have the time to let others in on your experience.  You can do that here, by posting anonymously, or by becoming a Registered Reviewer.

Why?  
Registered Reviewers are cooler than everyone else.  Simple as that. 
They take the time to share their experiences and help others avoid bad food, bad service, or a bad experience with an unscrupulous merchant. 

Because they are cool, people put more stock in what they say.  Soon, they have a following.  Then, perhaps, a devoted fan club.  Then, perhaps, their leadership is revealed, and the populace unites to elect them to political office eventually leading our humble reviewer to Master of the Universe. 

While we can't guarantee you will become Master of the Universe, ever notice how restaurant critics and other types of reviewers get the best service?  We can't promise you that either, but why wouldn't you?  When you become a registered reviewer, your opinion will matter.  People will read it.  Really!  No kidding.

As you contribute more and more to the web site, you will be ranked at various levels:  (* This applies ONLY to registered reviewers.  We cannot keep track of your frequency of reviews if we do not know who you are.  You can't become Master of the Universe if nobody knows who you are.)

1. Bronze:  Frequent reviews, submits at least twice per month
2. Silver: Frequent reviews,  submits at least four times per month
3. Gold:  Frequent reviews,  submits at least 8 times per month
4. Platinum: Very frequent reviews,  submits more than 8 times per month
   a.k.a.  "ultra-cool"

* Our Gold and Platinum reviewers "may" * receive special picture ID cards from CaliforniaReviews.com.   These cards will have the CaliforniaReviews.com logo on them, along with your Reviewer Display Name, your picture and your Reviewer ID number.

The ID number allows the vendor of the service to look YOU up on the web site to make sure you are a legitimate Platinum Reviewer at CaliforniaReviews.com.  When they enter the number, your picture will appear and it will match the picture on the card.   The card will also inform the vendor that they are being reviewed.

How do I get my cards?

1. You must qualify by having submitted the correct number of reviews within the time period.
2. To receive your cards, you must submit a picture via e-mail in a 2x2 inch digital photo with your display name.
3. You must also supply a self-addressed stamped envelope so we can send you your first set of 10 cards.
   (Include your display name if it does not match the name on the envelope.)
   Your picture and your ID number will appear on the card.  You do not have to put your full name on the card.  Your first name or display name you use on the web site, will be fine.
4. We will create your California Reviewers ID Card stating you have earned the distinction (the coolness factor) of becoming a Gold or Platinum level Reviewer at CaliforniaReviews.com 
5. You can present this card when visiting an attraction you intend to review and let the proprietor know you intend to write a review about the establishment either before or after you receive the service.  It's up to you.
   This card will only show that you review frequently at this site and have more credence than the occasional reviewer and you are "ultra cool."
6. The Disclaimer: You are not considered an employee or representative of CaliforniaReviews.com in any way, shape or form and should not be considered as such by the merchant or service you are reviewing.  Nor should you represent yourself as such. 
   You are merely letting the proprietor, merchant, or serviceman know that you frequent our site, contribute regularly and have achieved a high level of reviewer credibility (and coolness) as a frequent contributor.
7. No.  We don't know Michelle's phone number and we wouldn't give it to you if you asked for it.
